About this Webinar
Are you an LGBTQI activist and advocate, and you wish to hear more about real stories of campaigning and what can be learnt from them? Do you want to take part in an honest conversation about the obstacles and setbacks on the way?
Join our IGLYO Webinar on Learning from Failures in LGBTQI Campaigning on Friday 17 April 2026 at 13:30–14:45 CEST!
Campaigning for LGBTQI rights is complex, often unpredictable, and shaped by diverse social, political, and cultural contexts. While success stories are frequently highlighted, there is immense value in reflecting on what does not go as planned. This webinar aims to create space for honest conversations about the challenges, setbacks, and "failures" experienced in LGBTQI campaigning, and the lessons that emerge through trial and error.
Through real-life examples shared by experienced activists, participants will:
- Explore how campaigns evolve in response to obstacles
- Understand how strategies are adapted in changing contexts
- Learn how activists navigate resistance and backlash
- Grasp the importance of psychological safety, resilience, and care when campaigning, particularly in hostile or restrictive environments.
You can register for the webinar on this page. The Zoom link will be sent to you upon approval from our team. For any questions, please contact our Programmes Team at programmes@iglyo.org.
This webinar is free and open to everyone aged 18 and above, but it is primarily aimed at LGBTQI young people aged 18–30, as well as activists and advocates interested in strengthening their campaigning practices.
