About this Webinar
Have you ever wondered what makes communication within LGBTQI campaigns effective and successful? What tells apart a campaign with high impact and one that fails to speak to its audience?
If you ever asked yourself these questions, join our free IGLYO Webinar on Strategic Communication in LGBTQI Campaigning on Wednesday 22 April 2026 at 13:30–14:45 CEST!
Strategic communication is a key component of effective LGBTQI campaigning. In a world that is increasingly polarised and where LGBTQI identities are often at the centre of anti-rights narratives, designing impactful and effective communication campaigns is more and more urgent and relevant. This webinar aims to equip LGBTQI activists with practical tools and approaches to design impactful communication strategies in diverse contexts.
Participants will learn all about:
- The fundamentals of strategic communication, including how to develop compelling messages that speak to both hearts and minds
- How storytelling and narrative change can be used to strengthen campaigning efforts
- How to identify and reach target audiences and select appropriate communication channels
- How to adapt strategies in response to backlash and hostile environments
Through practical examples of successful and less successful communication strategies, as well as concrete tools for building a strategic communication plan, this webinar will support activists in translating ideas into effective and context-sensitive communication actions.
You can register for the webinar on this page. The Zoom link will be sent to you upon approval from our team. For any questions, please contact our Programmes Team at programmes@iglyo.org.
This webinar is free and open to everyone aged 18 and above, but it is primarily aimed at LGBTQI young people aged 18–30, as well as activists and advocates interested in strengthening their campaigning and communication practices.
