Donate to Diversity Role Models!

Our UK Member Diversity Role Models' workshops educate young people about diversity and empower them to recognise and embrace differences in others. During the workshops, they demonstrate how students can support each other and act as upstanders rather than bystanders by challenging bullying and inappropriate language or behaviour. However, these very workshops are currently at stake.
Government funding for anti-bullying programmes in the UK has ended. Corporate support has declined dramatically due to anti-diversity sentiment, and schools can't afford Diversity Role Models' essential workshops. Yet the need has never been greater.
Data from Diversity Role Models
89% of students feel more confident to stand up against bullying following their workshops. "Ever since Diversity Role Models came, people have been a lot nicer to each other, so it's helped" - Child participant, 7 months after their workshop
Right now, 45% of secondary students say pupils who are gay or thought to be gay are bullied at their school. Only 18% think someone LGBTQ+ would feel comfortable coming out (down from 26% last year).
