About this Call
We are pleased to invite IGLYO Member Organisations to contribute as national/local partners to the upcoming second edition of IGLYO’s LGBTQI Inclusive Education Survey, which will run from the end of August to the beginning of October 2026.
Building on the first edition conducted in 2019, and on IGLYO’s longstanding work in the field of LGBTQI-inclusive education, this new survey aims to document and assess the experiences of LGBTQI learners across Europe today.
The survey will gather crucial data on the lived realities of LGBTQI students in schools across Council of Europe Member States. Its findings will feed into a comprehensive policy report designed to:
- Raise awareness among policymakers, educators, and human rights stakeholders.
- Strengthen advocacy efforts at local, national, and regional levels
- Provide evidence on how existing education policies impact LGBTQI learners
- Identify opportunities and recommendations to improve inclusive education systems across Europe
This project is coordinated by IGLYO’s Policy & Research, and Communications & Network teams. This call is only addressed to ratified IGLYO Member Organisations.
Why participate?
By joining this project, your organisation will play a key role in amplifying the voices and experiences of LGBTQI young people and learners in your country, while gaining valuable data to support your advocacy work.
What does participation involve?
Participating organisations will be expected to:
- Provide feedback on the draft survey
- Attend a joint online coordination meeting with all partners
- Translate the survey questionnaire into their local language
- Adapt social media materials
- Collaborate with IGLYO on national/local dissemination to ensure strong participation from LGBTQI young people
What will you receive?
IGLYO will provide:
- A total budget of €2,000 for each partner organisation, to support your involvement in the project. This budget is intended to contribute to costs related to translation, adaptation of dissemination materials, engagement in the analysis process, and running social media advertisements through your organisation’s channels
- Social media visuals and communication materials
- A draft report in English with data analysis
- A country-specific report at the end of the project, to support your national and local-level advocacy
Indicative Timeline
- April — May 2026: Translation of the survey
- 28 May 2026: Joint online planning meeting with member organisations and partners
- August 2026: Survey launch
- August — September 2026: Survey dissemination at local and national levels
- September — October 2026: Data collection and analysis
- November 2026: Report drafting
- December 2026: Report publication
- Early 2027: Drafting national reports, advocacy, and follow-up
