University LGBT+ Group

The University LGBT+ Group is an association that brings together LGBT+ students, staff, alumni, and allies from higher education institutions. Their history began with the VU LGBT+ group, which had been operating informally since 2015. They were officially established as an association in the fall of 2018. They are primary involved in community-bulding activities for university-based youth in Vilnius: events, crafts, boardgames, movie screenings, discussions and much more.

Their mission

The University LGBT+ group's mission includes:

To foster public respect for individuals and their views, to promote tolerance towards members of the LGBT+ community, and protection of human rights.

To unite LGBT+ individuals from universities and colleges, as well as all others who support the organization's goals, in joint activities, to strengthen mutual cooperation and assistance, to encourage international and national cooperation, coordination, and initiative.

To strengthen the full integration and equality of all members of higher education community.
