Trans*parent CZ strives for the empowerment, social justice, promotion of rights and positive social changes for the benefit of LGBTQIA+ people. The organisation was founded in Prague in the spring of 2015 by a group of trans activists in response to the urgent need to create a support space and change policies to promote the advancement of transgender, intersex and queer equality.
Queer & Trans Youth CZ (QTY) is an actively growing community project lead by members of Trans*parent. It is based on a peer-to-peer principle and self-made safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth aged 13-21 years old. QTY has almost 1000 discord server members and has a diverse spectrum of both online and offline monthly events across the regions of Czechia.
Trans*parent & QTY's mission is to improve the legislative situation of trans and queer people, to create safe space communities, especially for youth, to help improve the mental health of LGBTQIA+ people, their families and close ones, and to make the societal and professional spaces grow and become safer, supportive, and welcoming.
