About
HOMA – Alliance for Iranian LGBTQI Justice is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation dedicated to documenting, researching, and advocating for the rights of Iranian LGBTQI communities.
Founded by Iranian human rights defenders, HOMA works at the intersection of gender, sexuality, and human rights in Iran, producing evidence-based reports on issues such as internet shutdowns, capital punishment, and the economic and social vulnerabilities facing LGBTQI Iranians. HOMA engages with EU institutions and international human rights bodies to bring attention to the situation of Iranian LGBTQI people, while also supporting activists and defenders on the ground through digital security resources and legal guidance.
Rooted in lived experience and rigorous research, HOMA amplifies silenced voices, challenges state repression, and builds bridges between the Iranian LGBTQI community and the broader international human rights movement, striving for a future of safety, dignity, and justice for all.
