About

ACET

Founded in 2020, ACET is an Italian transgender-led association that operates at the crossroads of culture and politics. The association builds practical tools to improve the lives, visibility, and representation of transgender people.

ACET creates spaces for connection and dialogue, supports cultural and editorial projects, and preserves the historical memory of the transgender community as a political act. Independence and volunteer commitment are at the heart of everything the association does, along with a deep belief in mutual respect and the value of thoughtful reflection.

Their mission

ACET's mission is to advance the self-determination and full citizenship of transgender people.

The association's cultural focus is on amplifying new narratives and creating spaces for reflection that can reshape how trans people are seen and understood. Politically, ACET advocates for civil rights, monitors transphobia, and pushes for fairer representation in public debate.

ACET also strives to remove the barriers that prevent trans people from living independently, including those related to employment and economic security.
